Consignment Terms and Policy

When you consign with Saudade, you’re trusting us to treat your garments with care — and we take that seriously. Once accepted, your dress will be photographed, advertised, and made available for rental through our platforms. During its time with us, we handle all logistics including professional dry cleaning, shipping, client communication, and returns. You will only be contacted if there is a significant issue, such as severe damage. In such cases, the client will be held responsible for repairs or full replacement (not common).

Consignors earn 40% of each rental fee, paid out monthly via direct deposit and invoice receipt. Rental pricing is discussed and confirmed with you before your item goes live. Please note that regular wear and tear is expected with rentals, especially if your dress is frequently booked. If you have concerns about this, we encourage you to reach out before sending your item.

All garments must arrive clean and ready to rent. If a dress arrives with visible stains, odor, or in need of pressing, we will professionally clean it and deduct a cleaning fee from your future earnings.

You may request to withdraw your item at any time, provided it is not currently booked or in transit. If you have an event or special occasion coming up, we are happy to block off availability and reserve the dress for your personal use.

By consigning with Saudade, you agree to these terms and allow us to rent your garment on your behalf under a commission-based agreement. All payouts and communications will be sent to the contact information you provide at submission.

Frequent Questions

- Payment Minimum

Question: If someone only earns $6 one month, will you send a payout?

Answer: Monthly payouts will be made once earnings reach a minimum of $25. If under that amount, earnings will roll over to the next month.

- Return Shipping Costs

Question: What if someone wants their item back right away — who pays?

Answer: If you choose to withdraw your item, return shipping is at your expense (typically $8). We can also coordinate in-person pickup if you're local!
